Intex today launched its Aqua S7 smartphone

Priced at Rs 9,499, the smartphone is likely pitted against devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Samsung Galaxy J2 and LeEco Le 1s Eco.

Intex Aqua S7 is also compatible with the recently launched Reliance Jio 4G services. We went hands-on with the Aqua S7 at the launch event, and here are our first impressions of the device

The Intex Aqua S7 is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Intex Aqua S7 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Intex Aqua S7 runs Android 6.0 and is powered by a 3200mAh non removable battery. It measures 142.50 x 72.50 x 8.70 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 150.00 grams.

The Intex Aqua S7 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer.

On the performance front, the smartphone carried out various basic tasks smoothly when we tried it. We even tried to launch and switch between various apps, and the phone did not show any lag. This is something that we considered to be a plus, as not all smartphones in budget range can handle too many applications.
